Ten tyde van sy verwonding was hy lid van 'n republikeinse kommando wat aan die inval in die Kaapkolonie deelgeneem het.en_US
dc.description.abstract• Summary: On the farm Oorlogsfontein in the Victoria West district there is a monument erected in memory of Comdt. Justice Henry Hugo, who was fatally wounded there on 18 February 1902. At that time he was on a republican commando taking part in the invasion of the Cape Colony.
